Woolf Fisher Research

Woolf Fisher research information about The Manaiakalani Programme - Outreach 1 & 2

From 2015-2017, five clusters of schools, then from 2018-2020, ten clusters of schools around New Zealand, are working to accelerate student achievement using the affordances of digital learning environments. We engage education researchers from the Woolf Fisher Research Centre at the University of Auckland. They will be working with these clusters of schools to improve teaching and learning. The researchers will provide ongoing feedback to teachers and leaders to help us meet our achievement challenges in this way.

The research involves gathering data and observations to evaluate whether the programme is successful in improving outcomes in reading, writing, mathematics and other areas identified as of value by the schools. Parents, students, teachers, and school leaders will also have the opportunity to contribute perspectives to the research through surveys.

The research has been approved by the University of Auckland's Human Participant ethics committee.
